Singapore National Organising Week, 2-7 September 2013

This year the Australasian Association of Professional Organisers (AAPO) is celebrating National Organising Week from 2nd to 7th September 2013 by showing people how to reduce, rethink, reorganise in order to live more productively and efficiently. AAPO statistics show that the average person spends over an hour daily looking for things. That translates into two weeks every year. So, by age 50 you could have spent over a year of your life searching for misplaced items and information!

The primary objective of the Singapore NOW campaign is to raise awareness in the local community about the benefits of decluttering and getting organised and secondly to introduce professional services and affiliated product providers to help do the job.

The publicity and awareness campaign will include:

  • A Facebook competition to win superb prizes. Entrants will need to click ‘Like’ and add (Singapore) after their name when entering.
    a) Howards Storage S$100 gift voucher.
    b) S$200 voucher for storage space from Extra Space.
    c) Get Organised & Beyond 3-hour wardrobe decluttering session worth $360.
  • Organising tips and hints on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and the inspiring AAPO blog.
  • A National Organising Week NOW 2013 ebrochure for printable tips and information. Go to www.aapo.org.au and click the NOW tab to download.
  • For details of local resources and event partners in Singapore, please click to read the media coverage below and the partner logos on the right.

Professional organising takes many forms, from residential space management to corporate productivity and from digital organising to wardrobe auditing.  The popularity of professional organising in time- and space-strapped Singapore has doubled since last year’s National Organising Week.
